The Monday of Serie A
For years traveling abroad, soccer and the Italian Serie A have been a common topic to start many conversations and, maybe, some friendship. The question I always had problem answering was: 'Which team do you support in Serie A"... struggling and trying to escape, explaining who I used to support and how things were now... bla, bla, bla!
Truth is that things just changed. Now if you are not Italian this post is not going to make any sense to you... fine with me!
But Catania, the city I come from, and its soccer team last night got their new promotion in the Serie A after 23years absence... that means I was 4 years old when last Catania played a match in the top division (such is Serie A)!
In this moment all the big squares are full of celebrating people covered in blue and red, the city and team colors... while I'm in the office starting a new week, which I never mind to do... Mondays are 1/7 of a week I still wanna enjoy the more I can... but Catania is celebrating, and sometime it happens to me to realize I'm living a great experience and a great life... but I do regret now not to be there, in Italy, Sicily, Catania when and where is amazing how a sport can make a city go so crazy and its people overwhelmed with happiness!
Who do I support in Serie A?! Catania, of course!
And the soccer World Cup is coming soon... watch out for Italy!
